Focus is a productivity tool designed to help you create intentional study and work sessions. By using Focus, you agree to use the application responsibly, follow these Terms, and comply with applicable laws.
You remain responsible for your device, your account, the permissions you enable, and the way you use the application.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Focus, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not access or use the application.
Continued use of Focus following any published updates or revisions to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of such changes, where legally permitted.
2. About Focus
Focus is a productivity and study application designed to help users create productive sessions, reduce configured digital distractions, track focus activity, and review productivity-related information.
Features and functionality may vary based on your Android version, device configuration, granted permissions, account setup, enabled cloud services, and application version.
3. Eligibility
You must be legally able to enter into these Terms in your jurisdiction. Where applicable, users who are not legally able to enter into an agreement should use Focus with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.
Parents and legal guardians are responsible for deciding whether Focus and its features are appropriate for minors under their supervision.
4. Accounts
You may need an account to access certain account-based Focus functionality.
You are responsible for:
- providing accurate account information;
- maintaining control of your account;
- protecting your authentication credentials; and
- notifying Focus of any suspected unauthorized account access.
Focus does not store your password in plaintext. Authentication is provided through supported authentication services.
Users must not impersonate another person, create accounts for fraudulent purposes, or attempt unauthorized access to another account.
5. Permitted Use
Users may use Focus for studying, focused work, coding, reading, writing, personal productivity, and other lawful productivity activities.
All use of Focus must strictly comply with applicable laws, regulations, and these Terms.
6. Prohibited Use
Users must not:
- use Focus for unlawful or unauthorized purposes;
- attempt unauthorized access to Focus systems or infrastructure;
- interfere with the operation, integrity, or security of the service;
- introduce malicious code, viruses, or harmful software;
- abuse, exploit, or probe vulnerabilities in the application;
- attempt to access another user's account or data;
- circumvent security, access controls, or feature limitations;
- reverse engineer the application except where restriction is prohibited by law;
- use Focus to facilitate fraud, abuse, or unauthorized activity; or
- misuse Android permissions or device functionality.
Nothing in these Terms prohibits conduct that cannot lawfully be prohibited under applicable law.
7. Android Permissions
Focus depends on certain Android permissions for specific functionality, including:
- Accessibility access: Used for supported application-blocking functionality.
- Display over other apps: Used for displaying the productive timer overlay.
- Notifications: Used for focus-session notifications and reminders.
- DNS or blocking configuration: Used where enabled for supported distraction-control functionality.
Permissions are controlled by Android. You may grant, deny, or revoke permissions through your device settings anytime.
Disabling a required permission may make the associated Focus feature unavailable or cause it to function differently.
8. Productivity Features
Focus provides tools such as productive timers, focus sessions, distraction controls, productivity statistics, goals, streaks, and productivity reports.

Focus is a productivity tool. It does not guarantee improved concentration, academic performance, grades, career outcomes, or any other specific result. Productivity reports and suggestions are informational and do not constitute medical, psychological, academic, or professional advice.
9. Parent and Student Features
Where enabled, Focus may provide parent/student-oriented functionality designed to support visibility into relevant productivity activity.
Features depend on user configuration and Android permissions. Users should understand what productivity information is configured to be visible or shared.
10. Subscriptions and Payments
Certain Focus features or services may be offered through paid subscriptions or purchases.
Where applicable, payment processing may occur through Google Play, Razorpay, or another designated payment provider. Pricing, billing periods, and availability are presented at the time of purchase.
Third-party payment platforms operate under their own terms, billing policies, and refund rules. Purchases made through Google Play are subject to applicable Google Play terms.
11. Third-Party Services
Focus relies on third-party services to provide portions of the application:
- Google Firebase: Authentication, cloud infrastructure, and data synchronization.
- Google Play Services: Supported Android platform functionality.
- Google Play: Distribution and purchase services.
- Razorpay: Payment processing where utilized.
Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
12. Intellectual Property
Focus's software, interface, branding, logos, visual design, and original content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws, subject to third-party rights.
Users receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Focus for its intended purpose while complying with these Terms.
13. User Content
If Focus allows you to create or submit content, you retain your rights in that content.
You are responsible for ensuring that content you provide is lawful, does not infringe third-party rights, and complies with these Terms.
14. Privacy
Your use of Focus is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how Focus handles account information, productivity information, Android permissions, third-party services, and deletion requests.
15. Availability and Changes
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of Focus from time to time due to product development, Android updates, security requirements, or legal changes.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every feature will be available on every Android device or Android version.
16. Disclaimers
Focus is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by applicable law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or that distraction blocking will function identically across all Android devices.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Focus and its service providers will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
18. Indemnification
Where permitted by law, users agree to be responsible for claims arising from misuse of Focus, violation of these Terms, or violation of third-party rights.
19. Suspension and Termination
Access to Focus may be suspended or terminated where reasonably necessary due to serious or repeated Terms violations, abuse, fraud, security threats, or legal requirements. Users may stop using Focus at any time.
